Ever since Rock the Dock started we have been supporting the Fund for Lake George/Lake George Association with their efforts to keep the lake clean and pristine for future generations to enjoy. But this past September long time owner and CEO of the Lake George Steamboat Company/Rock the Dock Music Festival, Bill Dow, passed away. He was a longtime champion for Lake George and Lake George Village, but there was one organization he always made sure to donate to- The Lake George American Legion. His father, Wilbur E. Dow Jr. started a tradition of donating a yearly cruise to the Legion and Bill Dow kept that legacy going after Wilbur's passing in 1991. Unfortunately cruise attendance is dwindling in numbers over the past decade and this year will be the last cruise the Legion will host. So in honor of Bill Dow, we will keep his legacy going and we will be donating 25% of our ticket proceeds this year (and years to come) to the Lake George American Legion Post 374 and help support all the great things they do for our local veterans and community!
